Day 7: 30 Days of TUNECHI for National Poetry Month

“I want to make or do something that will baffle me for some time.” –P. Guston

Duality

-for Deborah Poe

jointed in our separate
dreaming over waters
cawed the beaks, forked
the time tables turned awash
rasher moments of just
unabashed human
founts of sloppy catalogues
Weezy tried to die on us
sipped poesy par course A train
magnificent and then specific
dependent on the magical
binary gestures greying the scenery
how we build cut by cut on another’s skin
darkly all days a reminder
the breath is beyond the line
as such a suffering
not meeting up
